The AK, officially known as the Avtomat Kalashnikova, was developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov in the late 1940s. It became the standard issue assault rifle of the Soviet armed forces (AK-47) and is still widely used around the world due to its durability, reliability, and simplicity. The AK-47 fires a 7.62×39mm cartridge offering solid stopping power and range.
In the 1970s, a modernized version, the AK-74 with a smaller 5.45×39mm cartridge, was introduced.

Its construction is entirely steel, without any ZnAl parts, ensuring high strength and longevity. All steel parts feature authentic oxidized finishes, giving the rifle a highly realistic appearance. In essence, it’s like receiving a real AK stripped of internals and rebuilt for airsoft, while preserving essential airsoft-specific features like motor housing, wiring, and gearbox alignment. The handguard and gas tube cover are crafted from solid lacquered wood just like the real rifle. The pistol grip is made of tough polymer for comfortable handling. Platinum models also include an enlarged magwell for faster reloads and a tool-free field-stripping design that mimics real AK rifles.

Internal Parts and GATE ASTER SE V3 Processor Unit

Inside the rifle, you'll find a reinforced E&L V3 gearbox with a QSC quick spring change system and a processor unit, the GATE ASTER SE V3. This unit provides safe trigger response, protects internal components, extends battery life, and boosts rate of fire (RoF). It also supports safe use of 11.1V Li-Pol batteries. On top of that, it offers trigger sensitivity adjustment, pre-cocking, and multiple fire modes.
The gearbox is packed with upgraded internals such as 13:1 speed steel gear set for a balance of speed and durability, 9mm steel bearings (2x ball bushings + 4x plain), a reinforced piston with 3 steel teeth, POM air seal nozzle with O-ring, steel cylinder with integrated cylinder head, and silver-plated low-resistance wiring. The setup is completed with a metal AK hop-up chamber, a 6.04 mm precision inner barrel, and a high-torque neodymium motor with short shaft.

Warnings

• Do not use springs stronger than M120. Damage from overpowering is not covered under warranty.
• Some manufacturers' springs are overrated (e.g., SHS M120 = real M130–135), which may exceed internal part tolerances, especially the piston teeth.
• When using a spring with progressive (irregular) coils, make sure the tighter end faces outward on the spring guide.
• Never store the gun with a connected battery.
• Never store the gun with pre-cocking mode active. Always release the piston forward before storage to avoid spring fatigue.
